(Baohatinh.vn) - In response to the forecast of heavy rain due to storm No. 5 and the risk of flooding, flash floods, and landslides, the authorities of Phuc Trach commune and other mountainous communes in Ha Tinh quickly evacuated people in dangerous areas to safety.

Phuc Trach Commune is located downstream of Ho Ho Hydroelectric Plant.

Through screening, nearly 200 households with more than 350 people in Phu Thanh, Phu Le, Ngoc Boi, and Tan Dua villages along the Ngan Sau River are at risk of being affected by floods.

To ensure people's safety, local authorities have coordinated propaganda and mobilized households to move to high, safe places.

Up to now, all people in dangerous areas have been evacuated to safety.

At the same time, the forces also supported people in low-lying areas to transport their belongings and property to high, safe places to avoid floods.

At 2:00 p.m. on August 25, the water level of Ho Ho hydropower reservoir was at 61.78/70.00 m; the water flow to the reservoir was 48 m ³ / s; the water flow regulated through the spillway: 0 m ³ / s; the water flow generating electricity through the generator: 4 m ³ / s. The downstream water level was 21.70 m. The total rainfall from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. was 32.5 mm. Currently, the rain in the plant area is moderate, and the construction items are operating normally.

To ensure people's safety, mountainous communes in Ha Tinh have also proactively put up warning signs, closed roads and evacuated people to safe places.

In Tu My commune, to ensure the safety of people in vulnerable areas prone to flooding and landslides in Dinh and Thap Son villages, local authorities urgently evacuated 41 households to safe locations.

People of Tu My commune were assisted in evacuation to safety.

Heavy rain and strong winds have caused several large trees in Son Hong commune to fall, and local authorities have cut them down to ensure safety.

Faced with the heavy and complicated rains caused by storm No. 5, the Huong Son commune authorities quickly lowered boats to proactively deal with the risk of flooding. This was a timely action to ensure safety and evacuate people most effectively when an emergency situation occurs.

In Vu Quang commune, heavy rain in the past several hours has caused landslides in some areas in residential group 4, making it unsafe for people and vehicles.

To ensure people's safety, local authorities and police have put up warning signs and road closures so people can proactively avoid risks.
