Evacuate nearly 200 households downstream of Ho Ho hydropower plant
(Baohatinh.vn) - Due to the forecast of heavy rain due to storm No. 5 and the risk of flooding and flash floods, the authorities of Phuc Trach commune (Ha Tinh) quickly evacuated people in the dangerous area downstream of the Ho Ho hydropower project.

Phuc Trach Commune is located downstream of Ho Ho Hydroelectric Plant. Through screening, there are nearly 200 households with more than 350 people in Phu Thanh, Phu Le, Ngoc Boi, and Tan Dua villages along the Ngan Sau River at risk of being affected by flooding. To ensure people's safety, local authorities have coordinated propaganda and mobilized households to move to high, safe places.
Up to now, all people in dangerous areas have been evacuated to safety.
At the same time, the forces also supported people in low-lying areas to move their belongings and assets to high, safe places to avoid floods.
At 2:00 p.m. on August 25, the water level of Ho Ho hydropower reservoir was at 61.78/70.00 m; the water flow into the reservoir was 48 m 3 / s; the water flow regulated through the spillway: 0 m 3 / s; the water flow generating electricity through the generator: 4 m 3 / s. The downstream water level was 21.70 m. The total rainfall from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. was 32.5 mm. Currently, the plant area has moderate rain, and all construction items are operating normally.
