In order to concretize the Resolution of the 1st Congress of the Son Tien Commune Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, the locality is focusing on removing long-standing "bottlenecks" in agricultural production such as scattered and fragmented land and people's fear of changing traditional farming methods. Currently, Son Tien Commune has developed a specific plan to accumulate about 25 hectares of agricultural land in Dong Ha village to prepare for the 2026 spring crop production, aiming to form a concentrated production area, creating a premise for large-scale, modern agricultural development.

In the fields of Con Lang and Lac (Dong Ha village, Son Tien commune), excavators and diggers are operating continuously, breaking the banks and plots to form large plots, aiming to build concentrated production areas. At the same time, the locality is also upgrading and expanding the internal traffic and irrigation systems, creating an infrastructure foundation for long-term production.
The transformation process is carried out by the commune in a direction that is linked to practical needs, ensuring convenience for mechanization, application of technical advances and production linkage.

Mr. Phan Tien Hung - Chairman of Son Tien Commune People's Committee said: "Land conversion and accumulation is a major, correct and strategic policy, aiming to overcome the small-scale and fragmented production that still exists in the locality. From there, it contributes to the application of science and technology, synchronous mechanization in agriculture to improve productivity, reduce costs and increase income for people. In the coming time, the commune will continue to expand the area of land conversion and concentration; coordinate with specialized units to organize and implement contents on forming large-scale commodity production areas, strengthening linkages along the value chain, aiming to improve the efficiency and value of agricultural production, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals of the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the term 2025 - 2030".
Not only in Son Tien, the movement of land conversion and concentration is also being focused on in other localities in the province. In Gia Hanh commune, in recent days, dozens of excavators, bulldozers, and graders have been operating continuously, breaking the banks, leveling the fields, dredging canals, gradually forming large fields in Quan Ngoc, Hoa Binh , and Phong Son villages.

Mr. Tran Sy Loc - Secretary of Quan Ngoc village (Gia Hanh commune) said: "Currently, the village is implementing a plan to consolidate and exchange plots on a total area of about 50 hectares of agricultural land, to serve concentrated production and synchronous mechanization. After completion, 329 small plots will be combined into 79 large plots, convenient for planning commodity production areas, and at the same time associated with the issuance and exchange of land use right certificates for people. Along with that, the village has researched, dug and opened a new traffic system, intra-field canals, creating convenience in transporting agricultural products, irrigation and drainage".
Along with promoting the conversion and concentration of land, localities in the province have begun to upgrade and repair the internal irrigation traffic system such as building roads, dredging canals and clearing irrigation and water channels to ensure timely production service.
Mr. Bui Trong Dinh - Head of the Economic Department of Hong Loc commune said: "During the 60-day peak period of new rural construction (from October 22 to December 22), the locality implemented many practical tasks, including mobilizing people to focus on dredging about 35 km of intra-field canals; at the same time, building a plan to build about 3 km of new canals for irrigation, contributing to completing the infrastructure to ensure production for the spring crop of 2026".

Up to now, after more than three years of implementing Resolution No. 06-NQ/TU on leadership and direction of land concentration and accumulation associated with new rural construction in the period of 2021 - 2025 and the following years (Resolution 06), the whole province has concentrated and accumulated more than 13,000 hectares of agricultural land, reaching over 87% of the set target.
In the period of 2026 - 2030, Ha Tinh continues to strive to have at least 20,000 hectares of agricultural land converted, concentrated, and accumulated, in order to form large-scale production areas, apply synchronous mechanization, increase added value and sustainability in agriculture. To kick off this goal, currently, 26/69 communes and wards across the province have developed plans to convert, concentrate, and accumulate land in 2026 with a total registered area of over 5,000 hectares.

Mr. Truong Van Cuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment said: "The Department is focusing on building and perfecting support policies for land conversion, concentration and accumulation in the period of 2026 - 2030, in order to create a legal basis and resources for localities to implement effectively, in accordance with production practices. At the same time, the Department also requested localities to continue to review and register plans and implementation roadmaps in the coming time, contributing to the early implementation of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 into production practices. In the coming time, the province will continue to focus on attracting businesses to participate in building linkage chains, forming concentrated production areas and large-scale fields associated with processing and consumption of products to increase added value after land conversion, concentration and accumulation, contributing to the development of sustainable and modern agriculture".
