Testing NAO wastewater treatment technology in Bac Giang ward

BAC NINH - Implementing the direction of the Provincial People's Committee on testing wastewater treatment technology to improve the environment of lakes in Bac Giang ward, the Department of Construction coordinated with relevant departments and branches, JOKASO Vietnam Joint Stock Company to organize the installation and trial operation of a wastewater treatment system using NAO technology - Purely biological at Quang Minh apartment complex, Bac Giang ward.

During the trial period, JOKASO Vietnam Joint Stock Company organized the installation and operation of the NAO - Purely Biological system with 2 wastewater treatment modules with a capacity of 5m3/day and night/module. In which, 1 module will take wastewater from Quang Minh apartment building for treatment; 1 module will take wastewater from the drainage system flowing into Quang Minh lake for treatment and evaluate the efficiency compared with current traditional wastewater treatment technology.

Representatives of the Department of Construction and JOKASO Vietnam Joint Stock Company took samples of water after treatment.

The trial aims to verify the practical effectiveness of the purely biological wastewater treatment technology researched and proposed by JOKASO Vietnam Joint Stock Company in the specific conditions of some locations in Bac Giang ward; thoroughly treat untreated domestic wastewater before discharging into the lake, reduce pollution, deodorize, improve the quality of lake surface water. At the same time, evaluate the possibility of replicating the model of "self-cleaning lake - ecological urban area" in lakes, apartment projects, urban areas... in the whole Bac Ninh province.

NAO - Purely biological technology is an advanced, environmentally friendly wastewater treatment solution. This technology operates based on the natural biodegradation process, increasing dissolved oxygen and balancing microorganisms, helping to remove organic pollutants and reduce odors. The treated water meets column A - QCVN14:2025/BTNMT. The system has a compact design, flexible installation, does not use chemicals, does not generate secondary sludge; automated operation can be monitored remotely; low operating costs, suitable for current urban infrastructure conditions.

According to the plan, the system will be tested until December 2025. During the operation, the Department of Construction will coordinate with specialized units to collect samples and monitor the quality of input and output water; synthesize the assessment results and report to the Provincial People's Committee to consider the possibility of replicating the model in other areas with similar conditions in Bac Ninh province.

To continue improving the wastewater environment in Bac Giang ward, on October 29, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Thinh issued a document agreeing to test the wastewater treatment technology of JOKASO Vietnam Joint Stock Company at Quang Minh Lake with a treatment tank of 30m3 capacity. Immediately after the directive was issued, the Department of Construction coordinated with the Company to survey the Quang Minh Lake area to find a suitable location to install the treatment tanks. It is expected that the installation will start from October 30 and operate from November 7; the testing period may last for 6 months. All funding for the testing will be paid by JOKASO Vietnam Joint Stock Company.

The testing of the wastewater treatment system using NAO technology - Purely biological in Quang Minh apartment area has an important meaning in improving the environment, contributing to the goal of improving the quality of life and sustainable urban development of Bac Ninh province.
