The year 2024 witnessed the great contributions of Venerable Thich Quang Hue and the Buddhist congregation of Phuoc An Pagoda to the development of Vinh Chanh commune. With a compassionate heart and a high sense of responsibility, Venerable mobilized Buddhists and philanthropists inside and outside the locality to join hands in carrying out many meaningful projects and activities. Typically, the support for the construction of 2 new rural traffic bridges; the repair of Vinh Chanh communal house - a historical and cultural relic of the locality.

Not stopping at building infrastructure, Venerable Thich Quang Hue also pays special attention to difficult circumstances, through supporting health insurance for poor students; giving nearly 1,000 gifts on holidays, Mid-Autumn Festival, Lunar New Year to poor households, near-poor households, students in especially difficult circumstances, social protection beneficiaries... The total budget for these social security activities in 2024 is more than 1 billion VND.

With the motto of "Good life - good religion" imbued in every action, Venerable Thich Quang Hue is not only a propagator of Buddhist teachings, but also an exemplary citizen, always aiming for good values for society. Venerable Thich Quang Hue has opened short-term study classes for Buddhists, youths and teenagers in and outside the locality, teaching Buddhist ethics; propagating and mobilizing people to properly implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.

Venerable Thich Quang Hue is always devoted to the community.

“We always wish to join hands with the local government to build our homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized. The trust and support of Buddhists and philanthropists is a great source of motivation for us to continue to practice the teachings of Buddha, following the shining example of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in caring for the people” – Venerable Thich Quang Hue shared.

With the desire to bring more practical activities to the community, the Venerable coordinated with the medical team, doctors of An Giang province and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Chanh commune to organize medical examinations, give free medicine, propagate ways to prevent common diseases (dengue fever, high blood pressure, osteoporosis ...); give gifts to 400 policy families, the elderly, poor households, with a total value of nearly 100 million VND. This activity contributes to raising health awareness, providing timely support for people in difficult circumstances to access medical services.

At the same time, responding to the humanitarian message "A drop of blood given, a life saved", Venerable Thich Quang Hue, together with Phuoc An Pagoda and Buddhists, actively participated in the voluntary blood donation movement. More than 100 units of blood were donated to Can Tho Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital, contributing to the precious blood reserve, promptly helping patients in need.

Appreciating the contributions of Venerable Thich Quang Hue, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Chanh Commune Pham Ngoc Thanh said: “In 2024, implementing the theme "An Giang learns and follows the example of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in caring for people's lives", Venerable Thich Quang Hue connected many Buddhists and philanthropists inside and outside the locality to help people with both material and spiritual needs, build rural traffic bridges, build houses for families with difficult housing circumstances... Venerable is a shining example, guiding Buddhists to always live a good life and follow the religion".

The example of Venerable Thich Quang Hue is a beautiful image, spreading noble human values in the community. The Venerable's journey of service has been contributing to building an increasingly better society, where love and sharing are always promoted.
