Recently, the crew of the movie De Men: Adventure to the Swamp Village introduced a song called Dream of a Distant Traveler , with the sound continuing to be handled by " music wizard" Masew.
As a producer, Masew chose a bold yet subtle approach by blending Vietnamese folk elements into modern music, creating a mix that is both familiar and new, expanding the emotional space of this 3D animated film.
Sharing about Dream of a distant guest, director Mai Phuong said that the MV is based on the poem Day thon Vi Da by poet Han Mac Tu. The work describes the beauty of the land where the distant guest sets foot, along with the hospitality of the host who wants to keep the guest to stay.

The MV not only evokes the pure, peaceful beauty of dreamy nature but is also a journey to explore Vietnamese culture and music through the lens of musical animation - a genre of animation with musical elements throughout.
Right from the first frames, the MV impressed with its clear natural setting, cool light and poetic space.
A unique highlight in the MV is the water spider character, whose image is a mix of tradition and creativity. This character wears a shirt made of flowers, reminiscent of the four-panel dress, and plays traditional musical instruments such as the rice drum and the Tinh lute.
According to director Mai Phuong, the use of costumes and musical instruments imbued with Vietnamese culture not only aims to express national identity but also helps create a deep connection between images and music.
"Putting many genres of music into the MV is a big challenge for the director of photography and the music director. How to keep the music from becoming a "mixed pot" while still maintaining a consistent emotional flow is the most difficult thing. I want the music and animation to tell a purely Vietnamese story...", said director Mai Phuong.
By choosing the animated musical format, each musical scene in Dream Guest on the Distant Road is invested in elaborately and grandly, with the desire to connect the animation industry and Vietnamese popular music.
This is not only a bold move but also opens a new direction for multimedia entertainment products in Vietnam.
