Comrade Dao Van Khanh - Chairman of Muong Te District People's Committee said: Implementing the Lai Chau ginseng development project of the province, the district proactively planned the planting area with an area of ​​tens of thousands of hectares with suitable conditions in the communes: Pa Ve Su, Ta Ba, Ka Lang, Thu Lum, Pa U... and identified this as one of the crops contributing to poverty reduction for the people. At the same time, directing specialized agencies such as: Economy - Infrastructure, Agriculture and Environment... to coordinate with localities with potential and strengths to encourage people and businesses to develop the economy under the forest canopy; grow medicinal plants, especially Lai Chau ginseng and effectively implement the State's support policies to the people.
Along with that, the District People's Committee always accompanies and creates the best conditions for investors and people participating in growing Lai Chau ginseng to access local policies on supporting the development of agriculture, industry and services. Promote and improve the quality of administrative procedure settlement, consistently implement preferential policies and support on land lease, infrastructure investment, and site clearance. Every year, the District Party Committee, People's Council, and District People's Committee organize dialogue conferences with businesses and investors to promptly resolve difficulties, problems, and recommendations on the development of Lai Chau ginseng in the area.

Pa Ve Su is one of the pioneering communes in growing and developing Lai Chau ginseng. Currently, in the commune, there are organizations, businesses and dozens of households growing this precious medicinal herb in the villages: Sin Chai A, Sin Chai B, Pa Ha, Cha Ga... Typically, in Sin Chai B village, each family has its own ginseng garden. Mr. Po Ga Chu in Sin Chai B village shared: The village has over 50 households, 220 people, 100% of whom are La Hu ethnic group. With the propaganda, mobilization and support of the local Party Committee and government, the village has over 40 households participating in ginseng growing. Another advantage is that specialized agencies and businesses provide technical guidance on land preparation, nursery and seeding. This year, the villagers planted about 7,000m2 of Lai Chau ginseng, increasing the area of ​​the whole village to over 3ha.
The potential for developing Lai Chau ginseng in Muong Te district has been promoted by investors, local authorities, and people, helping the annual planting area to expand. Mr. Vu Van Cuong - Director of Muong Te Ginseng Joint Stock Company said: After a field survey and consultation with scientists and the direction of the province and district, the company has deployed Lai Chau ginseng planting in Nhom Po village (Ta Ba commune). After 5 years of implementation, it has been shown that this is a native crop with characteristics suitable for growing under the forest canopy, no longer an agricultural crop to eliminate hunger and reduce poverty, but can help people get rich right in their homeland.
It is known that the garden area of ​​Muong Te Ginseng Joint Stock Company is nearly 5 hectares. Currently, with over 1,500 original ginseng seedlings and over 6,000 5-year-old parent ginseng plants, the unit can have tens of thousands of seedlings every year. In the coming time, the company will continue to expand the planting area from 2 - 3 hectares and strive to reach about 20 hectares by 2030. At the same time, the organization will research and build a factory to deeply process products related to Lai Chau ginseng. During the project implementation, the company will create jobs for local workers; transfer seedlings and cultivation techniques so that people can expand the raw material area.
Up to now, in Muong Te district, there are over 50 hectares of Lai Chau ginseng planted by 6 enterprises, cooperatives and nearly 100 farming households. The district has been focusing on promoting propaganda, mobilizing people and attracting investors to cooperate in planting Lai Chau ginseng in communes with potential, advantages and receiving high consensus from the people.
