Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Duc Thang: Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in Workers' Month 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor directed all levels of unions to focus on 5 main activities. The first is to propagate and raise awareness among workers about the opportunities and challenges of the new era, the era of national development, as well as the advantages and difficulties when enterprises apply science - technology and digital transformation... so that workers and laborers can proactively adapt to the new circumstances and era.

Second, promote the program "Creative workers, confidently entering the new era", focusing on mobilizing union members and workers, especially workers in industrial parks, to actively study to improve their skills; cultivate courage, innovate working style, and improve integration skills. At the same time, implement emulation movements, apply science and technology, innovate to improve labor productivity.

Third, in the program “Dialogue in May” and the forum “Party with workers, workers with the Party”, the union has advised and proposed that the Party committee, the government, and business owners have direct dialogue with workers to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers. Regarding the forum “Party with workers”, we expect that before the Party Congress, the Party committee will listen to workers and have solutions to solve workers’ problems such as employment, social security, working conditions, and worker security.

Fourth, direct the implementation of the program "Thanking workers" with key activities such as organizing for leaders of Party committees and authorities to visit and encourage workers in difficult circumstances, and to show gratitude to workers and laborers with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good workers and creative workers. In this activity, the Provincial Federation of Labor has spent more than 1.1 billion VND to support workers.

Fifth, this is the peak month for establishing trade union organizations, developing union members, and introducing outstanding union members to the Party. During the recent peak, we established 20 new grassroots unions with nearly 2,300 union members; and introduced nearly 100 outstanding union members to the Party for consideration, training, and admission.

Confidently step into the new era

Reporter: Sir, in the current context, especially when the whole country is ready to enter a new era, an era of national growth, what specific activities have trade unions at all levels in Binh Phuoc done to prepare workers and laborers?

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Duc Thang: To prepare workers and laborers to be ready to enter the new era, the era of national development, we have focused on researching and promoting propaganda and dissemination of opportunities and challenges for workers and laborers in the new era. At the same time, we focus on vocational training and employment so that workers can adapt to the current strong development and application of science and technology . The union will have the responsibility, together with the State and authorities at all levels, to train and foster career transition for workers to ensure their jobs and lives.

The Labor Federation focuses on taking care of sustainable social security policies such as employment, housing, social insurance, labor safety, food hygiene during shift meals... to help workers ensure their material and spiritual lives. We are also researching to concretize the movement "Digital Education for All". In this movement, unions at all levels will concretize to propagate, disseminate, and mobilize workers and laborers to actively innovate, compete for good labor, and creative labor associated with digital transformation.

Building harmonious and stable labor relations

Reporter: Building harmonious and stable labor relations within the enterprise and between the parties is an important factor, greatly affecting the life and quality of labor, and the development of the enterprise. How have the trade unions at all levels in the province supported the implementation of this mechanism, sir?

Vice Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Duc Thang: Currently, labor relations have two mechanisms, which are the two-party mechanism and the three-party mechanism. In which, the two-party mechanism is between enterprises and employees; the three-party mechanism is between enterprises, the State and employees. These mechanisms are being implemented very effectively.

Implementing this mechanism, in the face of the country's development and the Party's viewpoints in the renovation period, the Provincial Federation of Labor and the authorities at all levels have concretized and developed plans to promote a number of key activities of the trade union in building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises. In recent years, the Federation of Labor has trained many trade union officials to meet the requirements, especially understanding the law and international labor standards to confidently and firmly implement one of the negotiating parties to make labor relations stable and harmonious in enterprises. The trade union promotes dialogue and collective bargaining activities. The Provincial Federation of Labor has directed trade unions at all levels to focus on collective labor negotiations and dialogue, especially on issues of employment, wages, housing and safety conditions for workers. When these issues are ensured, labor relations will be stable and harmonious.

In recent years, Binh Phuoc's labor negotiation and agreement work has achieved many results, exceeding the targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. We have nearly 500 labor agreements, including 2 group labor agreements for enterprises, this is a bright spot of the provincial Trade Union.

We also coordinate with the relevant departments to focus on prevention and participate in resolving labor disputes. These activities will contribute to building harmonious and stable labor relations in enterprises and create a stable foundation for workers and employees to develop sustainably in the future.
