The 13th Exhibition "Simple but Noble Mirrors"

With more than 200 documents, images, articles and artifacts, the exhibition introduces 135 typical advanced examples, including 71 groups and 64 individuals, selected from more than 600 typical faces across the country. They are ordinary but extraordinary people, who have overcome adversity, devoted themselves to the community, and to the sustainable development of the country.

In his opening speech, Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Party Secretary and Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, emphasized: “ Amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life today, there are still people who silently contribute, without showing off but leaving a deep impression”. He quoted Uncle Ho’s advice: “ Each good person, each good deed is a beautiful flower, our whole nation is a beautiful flower forest ” to affirm the strong spreading role of shining examples in society.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngang (also known as Mrs. Sau), 88 years old, persistently carries cheap bread for sale every day.

The exhibition consists of two parts. Part I affirms that learning from and following Uncle Ho is a regular task; Part II introduces typical examples in various areas of social life.

Among them, the image of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Sau (88 years old, Binh Duong province) moved many people. From a small bread stand, she silently gave warm breakfasts to students, workers, and poor laborers. Her simple work is a symbol of compassion and the spirit of unconditional sharing.

The example of Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan ( Ha Nam ), who has successfully performed more than 2,000 coronary angiograms, including 600 stent placements to save critically ill patients, has made the public admire the medical ethics of doctors in the new era even more.

Or like Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Viet Quan, a fire police officer, who bravely rushed into the fire to save 4 people in a fire in Quynh Loi, Hanoi (2024). He is a living testament to the spirit of "serving the people" of the people's police force.

The exhibition also introduces a collection of books and documents on studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, along with many badges that Uncle Ho had presented to good people and good deeds. According to Dr. Vu Manh Ha, introducing typical examples not only honors specific individuals and groups but is also a way to multiply good things and sow the seeds of kindness in society.

The exhibition “Simple but Noble Examples” will be open to visitors until the end of August at the Ho Chi Minh Museum.
