With the theme “Social insurance - peace of mind for every family”, this year’s communication messages emphasize the role of social insurance and health insurance as pillars of social security; affirming the practical companionship of social security policies in people’s lives, especially for freelance workers.
The communication content focuses on the new points of the 2024 Social Insurance Law; regulations on handling late payment and evasion of social insurance; the role, benefits, and humanity of social insurance regimes and voluntary social insurance policies; the meaning and value of receiving monthly pensions and receiving free health insurance cards throughout the pension period; the disadvantages when employees choose to receive social insurance at one time, leaving the social security net; spreading positive results in implementing social insurance and health insurance policies, etc.
Immediately after the launching ceremony, mobile media teams marched on the main roads of Dong Xoai city and districts and towns throughout the province. After that, the delegation was divided into small groups to go directly to densely populated areas, houses, markets... to propagate; answer questions about the regime, policies, and benefits, in order to encourage and mobilize people to actively participate in voluntary social insurance and family health insurance.
According to the provincial Social Insurance, as of the end of April 2025, the number of people participating in compulsory social insurance was 162,238, an increase of 14,522 people (9.8%) over the same period in 2024, reaching 95.7% of the assigned plan. The number of people participating in voluntary social insurance was 11,124 people, an increase of 3,013 people (37.1%) over the same period in 2024, reaching 35% of the assigned plan. The number of people participating in voluntary insurance (BHTN) was 153,525 people, an increase of 14,175 people (10.2%) over the same period in 2024. The number of people participating in health insurance was 926,608 people, an increase of 70,405 people (8.2%) over the same period in 2024, reaching 92.1% of the assigned plan.
By 2025, the Social Insurance strives to have 45% of the working-age workforce participating in social insurance, 35% of the working-age workforce participating in unemployment insurance, and over 95% of the population participating in health insurance.
