Provincial People's Council Delegate, Vice Chairman of Long Xuyen City People's Committee Pham Thanh Nhon answered and explained voters' opinions and recommendations.

At the meeting, representatives of the Provincial People's Council and Long Xuyen City briefly reported on the socio-economic situation of the province and Long Xuyen City in the first 6 months of 2025; key tasks and solutions for the last 6 months of 2025.

In a democratic, open and constructive atmosphere, voters of the wards actively participated in contributing opinions and recommendations mainly revolving around issues such as: The merger of administrative units of An Giang and Kien Giang provinces, the lives of redundant officials and civil servants due to the reorganization of the apparatus; improving people's lives, ensuring national defense and security in border areas, developing localeducation and training. Voters especially requested the leaders of Long Xuyen City to pay attention to, review and speed up the progress of urban upgrading projects, the Cai Son canal dredging project, and solving environmental pollution problems on canals and ditches in the area...

Representatives of the Provincial People's Council and Long Xuyen City listened, fully recorded, responded and explained the opinions, recommendations and reflections of voters. Provincial People's Council delegate, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Dinh Van Bao emphasized: "The enthusiastic and responsible contributions of voters are an important basis for the Provincial and City People's Councils to consider and decide on important issues in the upcoming session, in order to better meet the legitimate aspirations of the people. Voters' opinions and recommendations will be compiled and forwarded to competent authorities for consideration, resolution and results reported at the mid-2025 People's Council session".
