On the afternoon of May 21, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Giang province organized a working session between the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Giang province and socio-political organizations of An Giang province with Kien Giang province on the Project to establish the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, associations assigned by the Party and State to An Giang province (new) before submitting to competent authorities for approval.

The merger of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of Kien Giang and An Giang provinces into the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province aims to streamline the organization, operate effectively and efficiently, improve the quality of cadres, civil servants and public employees, improve the quality of operations, and meet the requirements of tasks in the new period. Thereby, promoting the strength of great national unity, implementing democracy, enhancing social consensus, building a clean and strong Party and political system.

Concluding the meeting, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province Dang Thi Hoa Ray and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Kien Giang province Le Thanh Viet suggested that the specialized departments absorb the opinions of the delegates at the meeting to complete the project and soon submit it to the competent authority for approval.
