In recent years, implementing the Project of Planting 1 billion new trees according to Plan No. 292/KH-UBND of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee, every year, Go Cong City People's Committee launched in agencies, departments, branches, Fatherland Front, unions and communes, wards as well as people in the city from the beginning of the year and until the end of the year to ensure achieving the goals according to the plan.

In 2025 alone, the People's Committee of Go Cong City launched a campaign to plant over 14,100 new trees of all kinds and release fish at Vo Tanh Temple Pond, Thiec Pond, and Racecourse Pond; at the same time, launched a widespread movement among the people.
