My Trinh Cooperative: Diversifying services, expanding production and business

The Cooperative's Board of Directors was introduced at the Members' Congress for the 2024 - 2029 term.

Since the transformation, the cooperative has begun to stabilize and expand its production and business activities. In addition to providing domestic water, the cooperative has developed many other services such as: drying rice and storing rice; providing agricultural services to members; linking with businesses and companies to organize production according to the value chain, ensuring product consumption for members.

Over the years, the Cooperative has received attention and support from authorities at all levels in investing in infrastructure serving agricultural production, including: modern drying ovens and rice storage warehouses, ensuring the quality of agricultural product preservation; convenient transportation system, supporting connection from production areas to consumption points.

In addition, the Cooperative has also contributed nearly 2 billion VND to implement important projects and improve operational capacity. This investment has helped the Cooperative better meet the needs of its members and improve overall operational efficiency.

The Cooperative has closely coordinated with the Farmers’ Association of Hau My Trinh Commune in disseminating information about the collective economy . Thanks to the attention and direction of the Party Committee and the People’s Committee of the Commune, the two sides have implemented disseminating activities to raise farmers’ awareness of the meaning and benefits of participating in the Cooperative.

In particular, the Cooperative and the Farmers' Association have jointly established the Gardening Association with 50 members. The Association has helped farmers improve their knowledge of planting and caring for fruit trees, bringing higher economic efficiency.

According to Mr. Truong Van Tham, to support the cooperative to develop better in the coming time, the cooperative recommends that the province as well as relevant departments and branches organize training courses for the cooperative's Board of Directors on skills and methods of propagating the 2023 Law on Cooperatives, as well as policies to support collective economy.

Encourage members and farmers to achieve the title of good production and business; at the same time, participate as members of cooperatives to spread effective models. Promote infrastructure investment and financial support so that cooperatives have more resources to expand services and improve the quality of operations.

As a result, the number of cooperative members has increased sharply. Currently, the cooperative has 845 members, including: 649 official members, 196 non-capital-contributing associate members. Currently, the annual associated production area reaches more than 200 hectares, bringing higher value to members. These developments not only improve business efficiency, but also create trust for members, contributing to enhancing the position of the cooperative.

The results achieved not only help the cooperative develop sustainably, but also contribute to the locality in building and maintaining the goal of a new rural commune. This is a common achievement that the cooperative has strived to achieve, demonstrating the consensus in developing the collective economy and the community.

Mr. Truong Van Tham, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative, said that in the period of 2024 - 2029, the Cooperative has set development goals. That is to strengthen propaganda and mobilization on the development of collective economy. The Cooperative will continue to coordinate with the Commune Farmers' Association to propagate and mobilize farmer members to actively respond to the Cooperative Law in 2023.

Through movements of good farmers in production and business, cooperatives will help farmers access modern science and technology, reduce production costs and improve economic efficiency.

The cooperative will focus on sustainable and market-oriented development. Specifically, it will orient farmers to produce according to market demand, avoiding overproduction. At the same time, it will build the cooperative into a trustworthy place for farmers to participate, creating strong links with businesses and markets. One of the important goals is to expand membership. The cooperative aims to reach 1,000 members by the end of its term, consolidating its position as a strong and effective farmer support organization.

"In the coming time, the Cooperative will continue to make every effort to build an increasingly strong cooperative, contributing to the development of the collective economy and improving people's lives," added Mr. Truong Van Tham.
