Tien Giang women join hands to protect the environment

(ABO) On May 20, the Women's Union of Tien Giang province launched a general environmental sanitation campaign in Cai Be and Tan Phuoc districts, in response to the emulation theme of completing the task of building new rural areas by 2025 in Tien Giang province.

A large number of cadres and women's union members joined the sanitation campaign in Hau My Phu commune, Cai Be district.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union Nguyen Thi Kieu Tien said that Tien Giang province has been actively implementing many programs and plans to improve the quality of life, improve the landscape, and protect the environment, in which mobilizing the whole population to join hands to protect the environment is a central and consistent content.

Implementing Directive No. 03 of the Provincial Party Committee, Resolution No. 18 and Project No. 01 of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee on implementing the Campaign "All people join hands to protect the environment", the Provincial Women's Union has proactively coordinated with relevant departments, branches and units to organize practical activities to contribute to realizing the goal of building Tien Giang into a new rural province with an increasingly green - clean - beautiful living environment and sustainable development.

Accordingly, a large number of cadres and women's union members participated in collecting garbage and clearing bushes on provincial road 869, Hau My Phu commune, Cai Be district and in My Phuoc town, Tan Phuoc district.

At the same time, continue to mobilize 100% of households of cadres and women's union members to practice environmental sanitation, families have trash bins and bags, and dispose of trash in designated places; regularly clean the environment, take care of flower streets, and replicate models such as: "Bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe" streets; "1 trash pit, 1 tree", "Exchange trash for gifts"... Along with that, every weekend, cadres, women's union members and local people participate in protecting the surrounding living environment.
