After more than 7 months of carrying out the mission in Laos, the Martyr Remains Collection Team 192 - Hue City Military Command surveyed, searched, excavated, and collected 10 graves of Vietnamese heroic martyrs who died on the Lao battlefield to bring back to the country.
Colonel Sopha Phoxaynhavong, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary, Political Commander of the Salavan Provincial Military Command, expressed: “The Lao people will forever remember and engrave in their hearts the contributions of the Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who heroically sacrificed to bring independence, freedom, and a prosperous and happy life to the Lao ethnic people of Salavan province. We will continue to promote propaganda, education, and mobilize agencies, sectors, people, and grassroots cadres in the area to widely participate in gathering information on martyrs' graves and providing it to Collection Team 192…”.
Colonel Hoang Van Nhan, Political Commissar of the City Military Command, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee 515 of Hue City, thanked the leaders, authorities, the Military Command, the Department of Labor and Social Welfare, and the people of Salavan and Sekong provinces for creating favorable conditions for Collection Team 192 to complete its assigned tasks over the years. The two sides continued to coordinate well in propaganda work, mobilizing people of Salavan and Sekong provinces to provide timely and accurate information on martyrs' graves, so that the search and collection of martyrs' remains in Laos would achieve the best results.
