At the meetings, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien suggested that leaders of corporations with strong influence should give opinions to the Trump administration to convey Vietnam's message in resolving the issue of trade balance.

Specifically, the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the US and Vietnam has been strongly promoted, creating favorable conditions for US companies to invest and do business in Vietnam.

Therefore, cooperation with Vietnam will bring long-term strategic benefits and contribute to improving the trade balance towards fairness, harmony and sustainability between the two countries.

Vietnam needs to be treated as a priority trade partner of the US. We request that the US make joint efforts to resolve current economic and trade problems, promptly recognize Vietnam as a market economy, and remove Vietnam from the D1 and D3 lists that restrict the export of high-tech products.

This will contribute to bringing practical benefits to both countries, both in the short and long term.

In return, representatives of the corporations expressed their support and commitment to increasing investment in the Vietnamese market. Mr. Peter Haas, Vice President of Excelerate Group, proposed three directions of cooperation, specifically: investing and developing liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure, ensuring a stable LNG supply, and establishing joint ventures with Vietnamese partners, aiming to make Vietnam an LNG distribution center of ASEAN.

Sharing with leaders of Lockheed Martin Corporation, Minister Nguyen Hong Dien informed that Vietnam is preparing a plan to launch a new generation satellite by the end of 2026 and wishes to expand cooperation in potential areas such as aerospace, digital infrastructure development, enhancing space sovereignty and national telecommunications capacity.

Vietnam wants to learn about flexible cooperation models and participate in Lockheed Martin's manufacturing supply chain in the future.

Ms. Nancy Ziuzin, Vice President of Lockheed Martin, committed to accompanying Vietnam's development in key areas such as aviation, space and defense technology.

The two sides agreed to strengthen the establishment of regular cooperation mechanisms, share information, and promote technology transfer projects.

Ms. Hughes, Vice President of SpaceX, committed to investing about 1.5 billion USD to provide broadband internet connection, the first phase will build 10-15 ground stations, providing modern, stable and reasonably priced telecommunications services.

Regarding Google Corporation, the Minister of Industry and Trade affirmed that he will support connecting this enterprise with domestic enterprises, provide information and consider supporting policies on infrastructure, logistics and taxes if the corporation is determined to expand investment or improve supply chain capacity in Vietnam.

Mr. Karan Bhatia, Vice President of Government Relations and Public Policy, Google Corporation, pledged to accompany Vietnam in the current trade negotiations with the US.
