In recent times, the province has made great efforts in implementing Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo , Resolution 03/NQ-CP of the Government and Project 06/CP. Specifically, the direction and management work has been implemented promptly and resolutely. The development of planning documents and action programs has been carried out synchronously from the province to the grassroots level.

Digital infrastructure and data connectivity continue to receive investment attention. To date, high-speed internet has covered 100% of communes, wards and towns; 5G networks have been deployed in all district, town and city centers. Digital transformation in public services has achieved many encouraging results: over 1,200 full-process online public services; the rate of on-time administrative procedure settlement reached over 99%; the rate of digitization of records and results of administrative procedure settlement reached over 86%.

The implementation of Project 06/CP in the province has achieved many positive results. Of the 18 common tasks with ministries and branches, 5 tasks have been completed and regularly implemented; 9 tasks are being implemented; 4 tasks are being implemented regularly. An Giang Provincial Police have proactively advised, removed difficulties and proposed effective solutions. Departments, branches and localities have promoted propaganda suitable for each area.

At the meeting, members of the Steering Committee frankly pointed out the advantages and difficulties in implementation. Some challenges mentioned were: Limited potential and technological level, the number of science and technology organizations and enterprises is not large; the mobilization of resources to socialize science and technology activities has not met expectations; the rate of people and organizations using online public services is still low due to limitations in modern technology equipment...

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung requested members of the Steering Committee, heads of departments, branches, and People's Committees at all levels to enhance their responsibility in implementing the policy of developing science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in the province.

The Office of the Provincial People's Committee shall preside over and coordinate with relevant units to urgently advise the Head of the Steering Committee to promulgate the Steering Committee's operating regulations and assign tasks to its members. At the same time, advise the Provincial People's Committee to handle proposals and recommendations related to science and technology development, innovation and digital transformation.

Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Mung emphasized the need to focus on investment and development of science and technology, considering this a key driving force for the province's sustainable development. In particular, it is required to increase the application of science and technology in production, with a focus on the agricultural sector. The application of science and technology not only helps optimize the production process but also opens up many new opportunities for the province's agricultural products.
