On the afternoon of May 21, the Steering Committee 1666 of Quy Hop district coordinated with the Party Committee, the government of Tam Hop commune and benefactors to organize a ceremony to hand over the Great Solidarity house to the family of Ms. Vu Thi Quy in Bao An hamlet, Tam Hop commune, Quy Hop district.

The house was built according to the "turnkey" plan - a model directed by Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee during his inspection trip to the progress of implementing housing support policies for the poor in Quy Hop district.

Vu Thi Quy’s family is one of the most disadvantaged in the commune. Her husband died early, she herself is disabled, and she is raising two children, Vy Thi Quyen and Vy Van Quyet, alone – both of whom are disabled and unable to work. Without a stable income, her family has to live in an old, seriously degraded house that is unsafe, especially during the rainy and stormy season.

Faced with that situation, the Steering Committee 1666 of Quy Hop district mobilized the support of organizations, individuals and businesses with goodwill to help Ms. Quy's family have a stable place to live. After nearly 3 months of construction, the level 4 house with a spacious design, reasonable usable area, suitable for the family's living conditions was completed and put into use.

The total value of the house is 155 million VND, of which a business supported 70 million VND; the rest was supported by Mr. Nguyen Van Hai - Deputy Director of Nghe An Department of Construction and friends. In addition, local authorities, socio- political organizations, relatives and neighbors also contributed labor days and construction materials, helping to shorten the construction progress and save costs.

The house handover ceremony not only has material significance but also a humane sharing, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love and community affection. This is a great source of encouragement to help Ms. Vu Thi Quy's family have more faith and determination to overcome difficulties and rise up in life.

At the same time, the model is also a vivid demonstration of the effectiveness of the correct and humane policy of Nghe An province in caring for poor and disadvantaged households in the area./.
