Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requests urgent repair and restoration of suspension bridge system in the province.

On May 19, 2025, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Phu Hien signed Official Dispatch No. 4343/UBND-CN on urgently reviewing, repairing and immediately fixing the suspension bridge system in the area, ensuring traffic safety and people's daily life.

Specifically, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction, the People's Committees of the districts: Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, Anh Son, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Tan Ky, Nghia Dan, Quy Chau, Que Phong and relevant agencies to urgently implement the direction of the Provincial People's Committee on reviewing and assessing the current situation, promptly repairing and strengthening safety solutions (installing signs, warning signs, etc.) to ensure the ability to serve people's traffic safely and conveniently and take responsibility if an incident occurs.

The Department of Construction shall preside over and the Department of Finance shall coordinate with localities to inspect and review recommendations and proposals; report to the Provincial People's Committee on a comprehensive plan to repair, overcome and build new suspension bridge systems in the province; to be completed before June 10, 2025.

The People's Committee requested the Departments, branches and localities to coordinate with the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and mass organizations to mobilize support, mobilize social resources of people and businesses, mobilize local forces (army, police, youth, women, etc.) to participate in supporting the repair and construction of new suspension bridges to serve the people.
