Dialogue on issues related to children and adolescents

Attending the conference were representatives of Plan International Lai Chau in Phong Tho, Standing Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front, Youth Union, School Boards and 80 members, women and youth in Hoang Then commune.

At the conference, more than a dozen members, women and young people raised questions, thoughts, aspirations, difficulties and problems related to early marriage, safe long-distance travel, gender equality; community tourism development; economic development.

In an open and frank spirit, representatives of the Standing Party Committee and the People's Committee of the commune answered and clarified the opinions and questions of members, women and young people. At the same time, they oriented and approved a number of solutions on issues related to the rights and legitimate interests of children and young people; promptly directed the removal of difficulties and obstacles in the process of organizing and implementing policies related to children and young people in the locality. Thereby, limiting the situation of early marriage, gender equality and economic development in the area.

Representatives of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hoang Then commune answered questions and recommendations of women's union members and young people at the Conference.

The conference is an opportunity for members, women and youth to express their aspirations, reflect, propose and recommend issues of concern; to propagate and disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, regulations and sanctions for violations of the Law on Marriage and Family, and gender equality for cadres and women members. In order to raise awareness, understanding and change the behavior of each person regarding early marriage, safe long-distance travel and gender equality.

The conference is part of the second quarter 2025 activities of the project "Gender equality and empowerment of ethnic minority women and girls" for the period 2024-2026; the project's operating budget for the second quarter 2025 is held in the communes of Hoang Then, Khong Lao, Ban Lang, Dao San, and Nam Xe.
