Many meaningful activities to strengthen the relationship between the army and the people

From April 9-11, the Military-Civilian Tet and the Khmer Cultural- Sports Festival of Vinh Long province in 2025 were held in Dong Thanh commune (Binh Minh town).

The Banh Tet wrapping contest is an annual activity in the series of activities for the Military-Civilian Tet, connecting the military-civilian relationship.

This is an activity to demonstrate the care and concern of Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, organizations and armed forces for the Khmer people. At the same time, it further consolidates and tightens the close-knit relationship between the army and the people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere to welcome the traditional Chol Chnam Thmay New Year of the Khmer people.

The Organizing Committee said that it will carry out many meaningful social security projects and activities to improve the material and spiritual life of the people, contributing to the locality's construction of the new rural area. Including building lighting systems on rural roads, cleaning the environment, repairing and building new houses of gratitude, comradeship, and solidarity. Giving gifts to poor families, policy beneficiaries, families of citizens leaving for military service, and social protection beneficiaries.

Cultural and sports exchanges; traditional Khmer culinary contest; community banh tet wrapping and cooking contest “Sentiment between the army and the people”; display of industrial and agricultural products with high economic efficiency and specialties of the province. Along with that are propaganda and education activities about the glorious fighting tradition of the nation, the locality and the armed forces on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the complete liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
