Many cultural, sports and tourism events are coming up in Quang Ngai

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai province, from July 21 to 24, the Folk Cultural Performance Competition of Ethnic Groups will take place. The competition is an activity to introduce and promote the values of intangible cultural heritage, customs, traditional festivals, folk songs, folk dances, costumes and cuisine of ethnic groups nationwide.

This is an opportunity for artisans and artists to gather, exchange, share experiences, collect, discover, explore, and create in artistic work, contributing to preserving and honoring the values and traditional cultural identities of ethnic communities. At the same time, it promotes, advertises, and introduces the image of Quang Ngai culture and people to people and tourists inside and outside the province.

Upcoming cultural, sports and tourism events aim to promote the image of Quang Ngai to domestic and foreign tourists, contributing to the implementation of local socio -economic development goals.

From August 5-9, the 2024 Gong, Folk Song and Sports Festival of Quang Ngai Province will take place. The event aims to honor, introduce and promote the traditional cultural, artistic and sports values of Quang Ngai Province's ethnic minorities; encourage and motivate ethnic minorities in the province to preserve and promote traditional art forms, ethnic sports and folk games associated with the local socio-economic development;

At the same time, promote the campaign "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the cultural, artistic and sports movement at the grassroots level in general, and in mountainous districts in the province in particular; create conditions for the mass cultural and sports forces in the province to have the opportunity to meet, exchange and learn experiences in building cultural, artistic and sports movements at the grassroots level, serving the needs of enjoyment, cultural and artistic creation and health training of the people in general, and ethnic minorities in the province in particular.

In August 2024, the 160th anniversary of the martyrdom of National Hero Truong Dinh (August 20, 1864 - August 20, 2024) and the reception of the National Monument Certificate for Truong Dinh Temple, Tinh Khe Commune (Quang Ngai City) will also take place; Scientific Workshop "Culture and folk arts of ethnic groups in mountainous areas of Quang Ngai Province and the South Central Coast in the new situation"; Mobile propaganda festival on administrative reform of the culture, sports and tourism sector of Quang Ngai Province 2024;

In particular, at the end of July 2024, the Ao Dai Festival and the Final round of the Miss Vietnam Tourism Identity Contest 2024 will take place.

The 2024 National Triathlon Championship (swimming, cycling and running) will take place from July 9-16; the National Youth Boxing Championship will take place from July 5-16; the 2nd Quang Ngai Province Women's Football Tournament for Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers in 2024 will take place from July 13-17.
