Heavy rains caused severe flooding at Ha Huy Tap High School (West Nha Trang Ward). On the morning of November 18, when the water began to recede, more than 70 staff, teachers, and more than 100 students were mobilized to participate in the cleanup. Mr. Tran Huy Thong - Vice Principal of the school said: "During the rainy season, the school is often flooded, but never as severely as this time. The school's plan to organize the celebration of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20) had to be changed to a shortened plan, held in the council room. On the morning of November 18, except for a few teachers in the isolated area due to deep flooding, the rest were present to join hands to fix and clean up the school. Clean up as the water recedes, to avoid the mud drying up and becoming difficult to handle."

After 2 days of heavy rain causing flooding more than 1 meter deep, Vinh Thanh Kindergarten (West Nha Trang Ward) was also covered in a thick layer of mud throughout the school yard and many classrooms. Children's equipment and toys were wet; the plan to organize outdoor activities to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day had to be changed to organizing in the classrooms. Ms. Mai Thi Hoang - Principal of the school said: "On the morning of November 18, more than 30 cadres, teachers and staff were present early to rake mud and clean the school. Many teachers took advantage of the time to clean up the flood at home, then came to school to help clean up."

Due to its location in a low-lying area, Quang Trung Secondary School (Tan Dinh Commune) is often flooded during heavy rains. The recent rains have caused severe flooding, causing mud to cover many classrooms and functional rooms. Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong - Principal of the school said that the school has proactively moved all equipment and machinery to a dry, safe area and allowed students to take a break from school from the afternoon of November 17 to the end of November 18. On the morning of November 18, the school mobilized all staff, teachers and employees to urgently clean the school and classrooms. By noon of the same day, the cleaning was basically completed, ready to welcome students back to school.

Mr. Le Dinh Thuan - Deputy Director in charge of the Department of Education and Training said that schools have not recorded any damage to facilities, but the flooding has affected teaching and learning activities. Some students in deeply flooded and isolated areas have not been able to go to school. The Department has asked schools to continue monitoring the situation and develop appropriate make-up teaching plans so as not to affect the curriculum; at the same time, it has advised and reminded students to ensure safety when traveling after floods. Based on weather developments, most schools have organized for students to return to school from today (November 19).
