At the Spring Flower Market (Ward 9, Vinh Long City), many vendors said that the number of visitors coming to view and buy ornamental flowers has increased significantly over the past two days.

Accordingly, the prices of flowers offered by sellers are equal to or lower than last year's prices. Small traders said that due to the general economic situation, flower growers are maintaining prices or slightly lowering them so that everyone can afford to buy flowers for Tet.

Specifically, the price of marigolds ranges from 60,000-90,000 VND/pair, miniature apricot blossom trees from 70,000-300,000 VND/pot, diamond chrysanthemums from 100,000-200,000 VND/pot, four-season flowers from 150,000-1,000,000 VND/pot, pompom chrysanthemums from 120,000-200,000 VND/pot, bougainvillea from 200,000-3,000,000 VND/pot, etc.

People are rushing to buy Tet flowers to bring home.

Prices for ornamental plants this year are stable, with some types even experiencing a slight decrease in price.

The price of fruit for offerings has increased by 10-15% compared to normal days.

Lunar New Year decorations are selling well.

Small business owners say that purchasing power has increased, but it's not as strong as in previous years.

Having sold over 50% of his potted apricot blossoms, chrysanthemums, and marigolds, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ca (Cho Lach, Ben Tre ) said: “I brought over 300 pots of various kinds to the market. Moving to the new road makes transportation more convenient, and sales are better. The prices of ornamental plants this year are not high, they haven't increased, so people are buying a lot. I hope to sell them all quickly so I can go home for Tet.”

Meanwhile, the prices of fruits and flowers for Tet (Lunar New Year) decorations are quite high, increasing by 10-20% compared to normal days. Flowers imported from Da Lat such as lilies, peonies, chrysanthemums, and hyacinths range from 50,000 to 300,000 VND per bunch and are selling very well. Many types of cut flowers such as apricot blossoms and winter cherry blossoms are also very popular. Pomelos, coconuts, cantaloupes, and watermelons with printed, painted, or carved calligraphy are also in high demand, priced from 300,000 to 600,000 VND per pair…

While purchasing power at the market on the 28th day of the Lunar New Year has increased, many small traders believe the market is still not as vibrant as in previous years. They hope that sales will improve in the final hours, allowing them to enjoy a more fulfilling Lunar New Year celebration.
