Forever bringing preferential loans to highland villages
Every month, the staff of the Tan Uyen Social Policy Bank go to 10 commune transaction points. Some points are nearly 60km away from the center, the road is steep, rocky, winding and dangerous, but they always carefully and accurately prepare each file, printer, computer... to reach the people on time.
Not only do they bring capital, they also bring faith and determination to the people. With more than 7,000 poor households and policy beneficiaries having access to preferential capital, policy credit has truly become a "cool water source" in the arid land, helping thousands of households have the conditions to develop the economy and escape poverty sustainably.
“Our work not only requires solid expertise, but also a strong will. Regardless of rain, wind, slippery or dangerous mountain passes, we always keep in mind: wherever there are poor people, there are the footsteps of the Policy Bank staff,” a female staff member shared.

Pink lotus flowers are "good at public affairs and good at housework"
The Tan Uyen Social Policy Bank transaction office has only 10 staff, of which 7 are women. They are not only dedicated bank employees, devoted to their work, but also caring wives and mothers. Due to the nature of their jobs, many days they have to get up and leave for the villages from dawn until dark before returning. However, when they return home, they become gentle women, taking care of their husbands, children and parents.
At work, women are always united, sharing experiences in handling work effectively, and also giving each other tips on building a warm family, how to take care of children... to keep the family happy.
Fifteen years of working with the Tan Uyen Social Policy Bank, Ms. Tran Thi Lien has become a typical example of the industry. From the first days of returning to her hometown, Ms. Lien has always been concerned about finding ways to help people escape poverty and develop production. She traveled to each village, met each household, learned about their circumstances, and guided them through loan procedures. Thanks to that, many households have had timely capital to invest in developing production and business, and escaped poverty sustainably.

Spreading the beauty of bank women
Not only Ms. Lien but also many other “pink lotuses” of the Tan Uyen Social Policy Bank still quietly and silently contribute to their work every day, sticking with the poor people in difficult areas. They are the strong bridge between the policies of the Party and the State and the people.
This October, when the Vietnam Banking Union launched the contest “WOWbank – Women of Wonder” to honor women in the banking industry, female officers of the Tan Uyen Social Policy Bank deserve to be typical examples, simple yet extraordinary, always enthusiastic and devoted to the people in the remote Northwest.
