"Online kidnapping" is a new tactic, when bad guys take advantage of technology to control the psychology of victims, forcing them to cut off contact with their families to extort money or even serve the purpose of human trafficking. Recorded cases have caused financial losses of up to billions of dong, along with serious psychological trauma for victims and their relatives.

The "Not Alone" campaign with the message "Be Safe Online Together" aims to promote and raise awareness among children, teenagers, teachers and parents about the risks, tricks of seduction, manipulation, and "kidnapping" online; equip them with skills to identify, prevent and handle dangerous situations; and spread the message "Be Safe Online Together" so that students know that they are "not alone" in facing these threats and remind families, schools and the whole society to always join hands to protect and not leave them alone in the face of risks in cyberspace.
