In June 2025, the 2026 World Cup qualifiers will continue to take place in the Asia, North, Central America and Caribbean (CONCACAF), South America and Europe regions.

The focus will be on matches in Asia and South America, where more tickets to the 2026 World Cup finals can be determined. In Asia, the final two matches of the third qualifying round will take place on June 5 and 10. Therefore, the remaining four direct tickets from Asia to North America next summer will also be officially determined.

Currently, Uzbekistan is the team closest to the 2026 World Cup finals when they only need 1 more point in the next 2 matches to win a ticket, South Korea also only needs 2 draws to continue appearing in the world's biggest playground.

In theory, other Asian teams are also competing directly for tickets to the 2026 World Cup finals: UAE, Jordan, Iraq, Oman, Australia, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.

In South America, the remaining five official spots after Argentina could be decided after the June matches if Ecuador, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay and Colombia achieve favorable results.

Up to now, FIFA has determined 7 teams that have won tickets to the 2026 World Cup, including 3 host teams: USA, Mexico, Canada and 4 teams: Argentina, Japan, Iran, New Zealand.
