In the last months of the year, the world supply fluctuated constantly, but the Ministry of Industry and Trade affirmed that the gasoline supply for the domestic market is still in surplus, with inventory for next year.

According to the 7-month report of the Ministry of Industry and Trade sent to the press on August 5, the world's oil supply is forecast to have many fluctuations, affecting domestic oil prices, such as: the Russia-Ukraine conflict has not shown signs of cooling down, tensions in the Middle East continue...

Therefore, the Ministry of Industry and Trade forecasts that in the remaining months of 2024, these factors pose a risk to the supply and prices of world petroleum products, which will continue to fluctuate unpredictably. However, in addition to imported petroleum sources, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, domestic supply is still guaranteed to be sufficient.

In the last 6 months of the year, 2 domestic petroleum factories reported a production plan of about 8.26 million tons, equivalent to 9.9 million ^{m3 of} various types of petroleum. Estimated imported petroleum in the last 6 months of the year is 4.5 million tons (equivalent to about 5.4 million ^{m3 of} various types of petroleum).

Accordingly, the total production and import source in the second half of the year is about 12.76 million tons, equivalent to about 15.3 million ^m3 .

Meanwhile, the estimated consumption in the last 6 months of 2024 is only 13.2 million ^m3 (an average of nearly 2.2 million ^m3 /month). Thus, the total source of gasoline and oil according to the calculation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade is still in surplus, with an inventory of 1.8 - 2 million tons.
