BPO - International Children's Day on June 1st is not only a celebration for childhood, but also an opportunity to spread love to the future "seedlings" of the world. Every child born is a miracle. Every parent's greatest wish is for their child to grow up healthy and safe. But for IVF babies – babies born through in-vitro fertilization – it's the result of a long journey filled with hope, tears, and faith. IVF – In Vitro Fertilization – is one of the miraculous achievements of modern medicine. Thanks to this advancement, millions of babies around the world , including Vietnam, have been born, bringing immeasurable joy to their parents.

Behind a baby's smile lie countless tests, injections, waiting periods, financial pressure, and even unsuccessful attempts. Therefore, IVF angels are not only the embodiment of love but also symbols of the resilience and determination of women who yearn for motherhood.

In Vietnam, in recent years, IVF technology has developed rapidly, helping millions of couples realize their dream of having children. From major hospitals like Tu Du and Hung Vuong (Ho Chi Minh City), the National Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital ( Hanoi ), to many assisted reproductive centers in provinces and cities, the number of children born through IVF is steadily increasing. Even more valuable is that society has gradually become more open, understanding, and appreciative of IVF babies as any other child – because these babies are the culmination of a mother's love and sacrifice, and the advancement of medicine.

“I used to think I wasn't destined to be a mother. After failed embryo transfers, tears would silently fall in my eyes at night. But then, a miracle happened. The day the ultrasound showed two gestational sacs, and then I saw the heartbeats of each sac, I burst into tears. IVF not only gave me one child, but two at once. Every day, watching my children grow up healthy, I feel that all the pain was worth it,” shared Ms. Vu Thao (Binh Thuan).

According to research by the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), babies conceived through in-vitro fertilization (IVF) are no different in physical and intellectual characteristics from babies conceived naturally. Currently, no studies show that children born through assisted reproductive methods experience developmental abnormalities. To date, millions of IVF babies have been born healthy, intelligent, active, and with normal physical and intellectual development.

Dr. Pham Quang Nhat, Deputy Head of Department at Tu Du Hospital, affirmed: "Children born through IVF grow up healthy and develop normally like other children. The biggest difference is that during the fertilization process and the early stages of pregnancy, the mother faces more health risks, requires more medical intervention, and makes more sacrifices..."

Double the joy from IVF twins

If each IVF baby is a miracle, then twins bring double the joy to families who have struggled with infertility. After years of infertility treatment, many couples are overwhelmed with joy upon welcoming two little angels at once. In fact, at assisted reproductive centers, the rate of twin pregnancies after IVF is not uncommon. Besides the professional aspects, it's also a touching story of perseverance and unwavering faith in the miracle called… life.
