Ninh Binh strives to achieve the goal of adding 10-20 products meeting 3-star standards or higher by 2025

To ensure the unified implementation of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) Program in the area, the People's Committee of Ninh Binh province has just issued a Plan to implement the One Commune One Product Program in Ninh Binh province in 2025 (after merging administrative units).

Guava is a fruit recognized as an OCOP product.

This plan aims to continue effectively implementing the OCOP Program, considering it an important driving force for developing ecological, multi-value agriculture , and sustainably increasing income for rural people.

The 2025 plan sets specific goals and requirements to create clear steps in developing the brand and quality of agricultural and handicraft products of the province. The core purpose is to promote the existing advantages of the locality, increase the value of products, and at the same time integrate tourism to contribute to building sustainable new rural areas.

Regarding specific targets, Ninh Binh province strives to have 10 to 20 more OCOP products recognized as 3 stars or higher by the end of 2025. In particular, the province focuses on nurturing 1 to 2 products that are qualified to propose the Central Government to consider, evaluate and recognize 5-star OCOP standards, affirming the position and quality of national-level products. In parallel with the development of new products, the province also requires maintaining, consolidating, periodically re-evaluating and continuously improving the quality of recognized OCOP products.

An important requirement of the Plan is the application of information technology in management, trade promotion, market development, linkage and connection of OCOP product supply and demand. This must be closely linked with the development of craft villages, tourism services and cultural, socio-economic events inside and outside the province. Through this, the province strengthens management and closely monitors quality to enhance the reputation and brand of OCOP products in Ninh Binh province.

The issuance and implementation of the OCOP Program Implementation Plan in 2025 (after the merger) demonstrates Ninh Binh's determination in realizing the goal of restructuring the agricultural sector and developing the rural economy in a sustainable manner. The program is expected to create key products of high value, strengthen production and consumption links, create a solid foundation for building a civilized and modern new countryside and significantly improve the lives and incomes of people in the province.
