At the Vietnam AutoExpo 2025 exhibition recently held in Hanoi , the Nissan N7 electric car suddenly appeared in the test drive area with the brand logo covered. According to the technical staff, this is just a display version for the event, not an official commercial vehicle. The Nissan N7 is an electric vehicle jointly developed by the Nissan-Dongfeng joint venture, based on the Dongfeng 007 platform. In the Chinese market, this sedan has a starting price of 119,900 - 149,000 yuan (equivalent to 435 - 544 million dong).
The car has dimensions of length x width x height of 4,930 x 1,895 x 1,484 (mm), equivalent to popular D-class sedans such as Toyota Camry or Mazda6. The wheelbase is 2,915 mm, 90 mm longer than Camry and the luggage compartment is 484 liters wide. The exterior of the Nissan N7 has a modern and dynamic style, clearly different from the company's previous sedan models. Notable details include the LED strip running across the front of the car, the LED headlights shaped like the number 7, the door handles hidden in the body, and the large sunroof. The wheels are 19 inches in size. At the rear, the LED taillights are designed to be slim and connected on both sides, combined with the dark-painted rear bumper, creating a youthful and striking overall look. The interior of the Nissan N7 has a modern design style, clearly different from traditional Nissan models. The cockpit is almost completely digitized, with a 15.6-inch central entertainment screen with 2.5K resolution, using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor.
The DeepSeek-R1 artificial intelligence (AI) integrated into the Nissan OS allows users to interact with the vehicle through voice in a natural way. The audio output is a 12-speaker system - including a pair of speakers hidden in the driver's headrest, with a total capacity of 910W. Other notable features include a 10.25-inch dashboard, 50W wireless charging with heat dissipation, 27W USB-C charging in both rows of seats, dual-zone automatic air conditioning with PM2.5 fine dust filter, 256-color interior ambient lighting, panoramic glass roof, auto-dimming rearview mirror and 540-degree camera that displays simulated images under the car. Under the center armrest is a 5.8-liter refrigerator with a minimum temperature of -6 degrees Celsius. Dongfeng Nissan advertises that the driver's seat automatically adjusts to each person's physical condition based on 49 sensors and integrated AI. In addition, this joint venture also affirms that the N7 is the first car in the world to own intelligent anti-motion sickness technology, combining many elements such as chassis, powertrain, interior and operating support technologies.
In terms of performance, the Nissan N7 is equipped with two electric motor options, with capacities of 215 and 268 horsepower, respectively, depending on the included battery pack. The version and specific engine configuration of the Nissan N7 on display at the Vietnam AutoExpo 2025 exhibition are still unknown. This model supports 3C fast charging technology, allowing charging from 10% to 80% of the battery in just 19 minutes. The advanced driver assistance technology (ADAS) package cannot be absent from a product for a country of a billion people. With the map-based highway and urban driving assistance (NOA) feature, the N7 is capable of automatically handling most common situations such as merging, overtaking and avoiding vehicles, moving through sharp corners and passing through toll booths. The fully automatic parking feature also appears on the Nissa N7.
