Efforts to deploy electronic invoices generated from cash registers

Currently, the whole country has over 40,300 businesses registered to use electronic invoices from cash registers, accounting for over 94% of the plan; the number of electronic invoices from cash registers is 104 million; an average of 2,597 invoices per business.

After more than a year of implementing electronic invoices from cash registers, initial positive results have been achieved, creating a premise for continuing to expand the implementation of solutions to manage the retail sector, prevent tax losses, and bring business efficiency and customer experience. Electronic invoice solutions from cash registers have also become popular. People and businesses have gradually adapted and applied the new electronic invoice solution initiated from cash registers.

The Tax Authority has set a target that by the end of 2024, 100% of businesses will use electronic invoices from cash registers. Of which, businesses subject to implementation in 2024 will strive to reach 30% by the end of the second quarter and 50% by the end of the third quarter, aiming for 70% by the end of 2024.
