HDBank Debt Trading and Asset Management Joint Stock Company (HDBank AMC) has just announced periodic information on its financial situation for the first 6 months of 2024.
Accordingly, in the first half of 2024, HDBank AMC recorded a slight increase in equity of VND 3 billion compared to the end of 2023 to nearly VND 1,061 billion.
The company reported a profit after tax of nearly VND2.5 billion. Previously, in 2023, the company recorded a profit after tax of more than VND12 billion, down 68% compared to the same period in 2022. The company's profit margin after tax decreased from 0.01% last year to 0.002%.
Notably, HDBank AMC's debt/equity ratio remained at 4.5 times, equivalent to a debt of nearly VND4,775 billion. Of which, outstanding bonds/equity increased from 0.66 times to 1.6 times, equivalent to an increase from VND698 billion to VND1,697.6 billion.
HDBank AMC said that because the bond issuance had not been carried out in the same period last year, it did not make an audit report from January 1, 2023 to June 30, 2023. Therefore, the enterprise applied the "previous period" from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.
Regarding the payment of interest and principal of bonds, by the end of June 2024, the company had spent about VND 39 billion to pay interest for 3 bond lots HDMCH2328001, HDMCH2328002 and HDMCH2328003. These are 3 bond codes issued by HDBank AMC in September and December 2023, with a total value of VND 700 billion.
In February 2024, the company successfully mobilized the HDMCH2328004 bond lot with a total value of VND 1,000 billion, term of 60 months, expected to mature on February 21, 2029. The issuance interest rate is 10.6%/year. Up to now, this is the only bond lot issued by the company in 2024 and the 4th lot currently circulating on the market.
According to information on the website of Ho Chi Minh City Development and Investment Joint Stock Commercial Bank (HDBank), HDBank AMC was formerly a subsidiary owned by Dai A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, officially put into operation on January 13, 2011 with an initial charter capital of 20 billion VND and increased to 150 billion VND by August 2011.
After completing the merger of Dai A Commercial Joint Stock Bank in November 2013, HD AMC became a subsidiary of HDBank and moved its headquarters from Bien Hoa, Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City in October 2014.
The company's main activities are to recover and handle bad debts of HDBank, and to manage and handle assets originating from debt handling under HDBank's authorization.
HDBank AMC is no longer an affiliated company of HDBank.
HDBank used to own 100% of the capital at HDBank AMC. However, according to the bank's 2023 annual report, based on Resolution No. 05 dated March 3, 2022 of the Board of Directors on converting the business type of HDBank AMC from a One-Member Limited Liability Company to a Joint Stock Company with HDBank's capital contribution ratio remaining at 2%, HDBank AMC is no longer an affiliated company of HDBank.

The company's fields of operation include supporting unclassified financial services, real estate trading, real estate auctions, land use rights auctions, etc. The company has a charter capital of 1,000 billion VND.
