Hoa Tien 1 Production and General Business Service Cooperative (Hoa Tien commune, Hoa Vang district) has 1,307 members with a rice production area of 240 hectares/crop. This summer-autumn crop, the cooperative and its members mobilized 14 plows to prepare the land to keep up with the sowing schedule according to the crop schedule. The cooperative started sowing from May 15, striving to complete all varieties by May 31. Director of the cooperative Ngo Van Sinh said: "To prepare for summer-autumn rice production, the cooperative prepares seeds according to the seed structure instructed by the Department of Agriculture and Environment. Currently, the weather is sunny and dry, so it is very favorable for production, helping to limit pests and diseases and ensure the development of rice plants later."

According to the city's agricultural sector, the 2025 summer-autumn crop needs to be arranged to ensure a neat harvest before September 5 to avoid floods at the end of the crop and ensure rice productivity and output. Therefore, the sowing and planting schedule starts from May 15 and ends on May 31. According to the People's Committee of Hoa Vang district, in the 2024-2025 winter-spring rice crop, the whole district has a yield of 65.95 quintals/ha (3.2 quintals/ha lower than the same period), and an output of more than 14,858 tons (1,017.9 tons lower than the same period). In the 2025 summer-autumn crop, the locality plans to produce a total area of 2,010 hectares, focusing on key medium- and short-term varieties such as Ha Phat 3, DT100, and VNR10. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ly, Deputy Head of the District Department of Agriculture and Environment, said that according to forecasts, the El Nino phenomenon is likely to last until the end of the dry season in 2025, causing a serious shortage of water flow on the Vu Gia and Thu Bon rivers. The shortage of irrigation water and saltwater intrusion are increasingly severe, so the district requires communes to proactively take measures to store water and use water resources reasonably and effectively in daily life and agricultural production...

The City Department of Agriculture (Department of Agriculture and Environment) recommends that localities prepare well for seeds, soil preparation, organic fertilizers, pest prevention, etc. Farmers need to use technical seeds to ensure seed quality, moderate sowing density of 4-5kg/sao (80-100kg/ha), fertilize according to the correct production process and increase the use of organic fertilizers to ensure high yield.
