This is a charter flight with a capacity of 231 passengers flying directly from Russia to Khanh Hoa after many years of interruption.

To create a positive impression and encourage Russian tourists to return to Khanh Hoa, while also showcasing the hospitality and friendliness of the people of Khanh Hoa, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, along with leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province, were present right at the foot of the plane to welcome them.

Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited, a travel agency, announced that these charter flights will connect 11 Russian cities to Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa province. These include Moscow, Ekaterinburg, Kabarovsk, Vladivostok, Barnaul, Krasnojarsk, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Novokuznetsk, and Blagoveschensk, with an expected flight frequency of approximately 12 flights per month starting in March 2025.
From April to June 2025, the number of trips will increase to 50-55 per month, and in July 2025, it will rise to 90-100 trips per month. Russian tourists will stay for 5 nights or more, mainly in 3-5 star hotels, and will participate in all-inclusive tour packages visiting popular tourist destinations in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa.

The number of Russian tourists visiting Khanh Hoa is expected to increase significantly in the near future.
Earlier this month, in early March, Khanh Hoa province also organized a tourism promotion delegation to the Russian market.
In 2019, an estimated nearly 463,000 Russian tourists visited Khanh Hoa province, accounting for 71.6% of the total number of Russian tourists to Vietnam and making them the province's second largest international tourist market at that time.
However, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical instability has led to a sharp decline in the number of tourists from Russia visiting Khanh Hoa.
Direct flights from Russia have been suspended since 2022.
