The incident happened at around 10pm on August 2. While visiting the ancient town of Hoa Lu, Ms. Hoa suddenly saw many people gathered in a crowd, shouting. Running closer, she discovered an unconscious tourist lying on the ground.
Immediately, with the instinct of a medical staff, she approached the victim, checked and found the carotid and femoral pulses were lost, and urgently performed external cardiac compressions to save the patient's life.
Thanks to her skillful skills, calmness and determination, she helped the victim restore circulation and regain life before local medical forces arrived.

Ms. Hoa shared that as a medical staff with 18 years of experience, 5 years in the Poison Control Department, having participated in emergency treatment for many patients, she was very confident when directly handling the situation. As soon as she saw the patient unconscious, she immediately thought of a way to check their condition and save their life. After the patient regained a pulse and consciousness, when the local ambulance arrived, she left.
Her story quickly went viral on social media, attracting tens of thousands of views and receiving many positive responses from the community. That humane, professional and timely act not only saved a life but also spread the image of Vietnamese nurses as dedicated, brave and compassionate.

The humane work of nurse Phan Thi Thuy Hoa not only saved a person's life but also lit up the belief in medical ethics - something that is not only shown in the hospital, but also shines in everyday life, wherever the doctor's heart silently says: "As long as there is life, there is hope".
