Female principal pays out of her own pocket to reward students who win prizes and go abroad

A principal in Hanoi kept his promise and paid for students who won prizes in the City's Excellent Student Competition to go on a trip abroad.

Before the City Excellent Student Competition, Principal Nguyen Thi Mai Hue (Nguyen Hue High School, Hanoi ) promised to organize an overseas trip for students with good achievements. First prize students will go to Europe, second prize students will go to Asia. All expenses for the trip will be paid by her.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training announced the results, student Cung Van Nam Khanh (class 12A13) won second prize in English. The principal kept his promise, awarding him a trip to Asia as a congratulatory gift.

Nam Khanh is applying for a visa and has two choices: South Korea or Taiwan (China).

During the trip, in addition to studying, Nam Khanh will visit famous destinations such as museums, historical sites, and amusement parks. He will also participate in cultural exchange and experience activities.

Principal Mai Hue said the award shows her appreciation and affection for the students’ efforts. The trip also creates opportunities for students to explore, practice skills and access an international educational environment.

"The slogan of Nguyen Hue School is to learn to be a good person, to learn to integrate, so I pay a lot of attention to bringing students to the 'flat world ', to broaden their thinking and build good relationships with international friends. Ultimately, to let teachers and students live a free and happy life," said the female principal.

According to his teachers, Nam Khanh used to be shy, timid and had no outstanding academic achievements. Thanks to the encouragement and support of his teachers, Nam Khanh gradually became confident, proactive in his studies and won a prize in this year's city's excellent student competition.

"I was surprised because my child got a higher score than expected. During his journey at school, he became more studious and active. I was very touched and grateful to the teachers who always took care of and supported Nam Khanh," said parent Minh Phuong.
