Tonight (December 14), Di An City Police, Binh Duong Province said that the unit's rescue force is coordinating with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department of Binh Duong Province Police, Dong Nai Province Police and the Inland Waterways Port Authority to actively search for the missing car that fell into the river.
According to initial information, at around 6 p.m. the same day, a 7-seat car was traveling on Dong Nai Bridge from Binh Duong Province to Dong Nai. When it was almost at the end of the bridge, the car suddenly lost control, broke the iron railing, and plunged into the river and disappeared.
Upon discovering the incident, passersby immediately notified the authorities to search and rescue.
At the scene, the left handrail of Dong Nai bridge from Ho Chi Minh City to Dong Nai was broken for more than 20m, many iron bars fell into the river. The location of the car falling was the gap between the old Dong Nai bridge and the new bridge, with a distance of about 3m wide.
According to some witnesses, the car that fell into the river was a 7-seater, the number of people in the car is currently unknown. The area where the car fell is in Di An City, Binh Duong Province.
The leader of Di An City Police said that as of 8:20 p.m. the same day, the car had not been found.
