Specifically, in the first half of March (March 1-15), the country imported 7,285 vehicles, with a total turnover of 161.43 million USD. The two main imported vehicle lines were cars with 9 seats or less and trucks. Of which, there were 5,885 cars with 9 seats or less, with a total turnover of nearly 118 million USD; 1,088 trucks, with a total turnover of nearly 30.5 million USD. In total, from the beginning of the year to March 15, the country imported 34,064 complete cars, with a total turnover of 731.5 million USD, up 72.25% in volume and 55.72% in turnover compared to the same period last year. This is different in the context of the country's import-export turnover decreasing sharply. Regarding the import market (updated by the end of February by the General Department of Customs), Thailand continues to be Vietnam's largest automobile import market with 12,759 vehicles, worth 251.65 million USD; Indonesia ranks second with 10,976 vehicles, worth 152.34 million USD; while China ranks third with 1,074 vehicles, worth nearly 41 million USD.
