The flight of the Vietnamese Olympic team will depart from Noi Bai International Airport ( Hanoi ) at 10:05 and is expected to land at Pudong International Airport - Shanghai (China) at 14:25 (local time) the same day.
Here, coach Hoang Anh Tuan and his team will travel by bus arranged by the organizing committee to Hangzhou, about 180 km from Pudong Airport - Shanghai.
In Hangzhou, the team will have 3 days to complete the final preparations before entering the opening match against Mongolia on September 19 in Group B of the 19th ASIAD men's football.

At ASIAD 19, Vietnam Olympic team will meet Mongolia Olympic team in the opening match at 3:00 p.m. (Vietnam time) on September 19. On September 21, Vietnam Olympic team will meet Iran Olympic team at 6:30 p.m.
On September 24 (one day after the opening ceremony of ASIAD 19), the Vietnam Olympic team will meet the Saudi Arabia Olympic team in the final match of the group, also at 6:30 p.m. All matches of the Vietnam Olympic team will take place at the Linping Sport Center.
Coach Hoang Anh Tuan affirmed that he did not set specific achievement goals to help his students avoid pressure.
"Over the past 5 years, everything has changed. The squad is different, the goals and strategies are clear. All tournaments like U.23 Southeast Asia or ASIAD are aimed at developing players. This is a playground for them. Everyone wants results, I personally want them too, but that is not the core of this competition.
The final issue is how we play, how we implement tactics, how the players have improved. Through this tournament, we know where Vietnamese football is, what level the players are. This is so that in the future, the head coach of the national team will have information and conditions to make adjustments for the players.
In the Vietnam Olympic team, there are many players who are only 18 or 19 years old. If we set such a goal, they will face a lot of pressure. When we are 18 years old and have to face a 24-year-old opponent, that is already a psychological barrier. We should not put more pressure on the players. I hope the players understand. Although I do not set a specific goal for the team, the players understand what I want," coach Hoang Anh Tuan assessed.
