(TN&MT) - On the afternoon of February 20, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province held a conference to announce the decision of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee on the arrangement of organizational structure and personnel work.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Mr. Ha Duc Tien - Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council announced Resolution No. 01, dated February 19, 2025 of the Provincial People's Council on the establishment, merger and reorganization of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of Quang Nam province.
After the establishment, merger and reorganization, the People's Committee of Quang Nam province has 13 specialized agencies (reduced by 6 agencies). Specifically, the Department of Finance was established on the basis of merging the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance; the Department of Construction was established on the basis of merging the Department of Transport and Communications and the Department of Construction; the Department of Agriculture and Environment was established on the basis of merging the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; the Department of Science and Technology was established on the basis of merging the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology; the Department of Home Affairs was established on the basis of merging the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs; the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions was established; the Department of Foreign Affairs was merged into the Office of the Provincial People's Committee.
On the basis of establishing, merging and reorganizing specialized agencies according to Resolution No. 01 of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee announced the decisions of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on perfecting the personnel of these agencies.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has issued a Decision to transfer and appoint Mr. Bui Ngoc Anh, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, to be the Director of the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment; appointing Mr./Ms. Nguyen Truong Son, Vo Nhu Toan, Le Thuy Trinh, Trinh Thi Thanh Hai (both holding the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment), Truong Xuan Ty, Tran Ut, Nguyen Xuan Vu (both holding the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development) to be Deputy Directors of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee has issued a Decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Nhu Cong, Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee, as Director of the Department of Finance; appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam, Director of the Department of Construction, as Director of the Department of Construction; appoint Mr. Nguyen Duc Binh, Director of the Department of Information and Communications, as Director of the Department of Science and Technology; appoint Mr. Trinh Minh Duc, Chief of Office of the Delegation of National Assembly Deputies and the Provincial People's Council, as Director of the Department of Home Affairs.
Also at the ceremony, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions was established on the basis of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee receiving additional functions, tasks, and organization of the state management apparatus on beliefs and religions from the Department of Home Affairs; appointing Mr. A Vo To Phuong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Giang district as Director of this department.
Appoint Mr. Thai Hoang Vu, Chairman of Bac Tra My District People's Committee to hold the position of Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee to replace Mr. Nguyen Nhu Cong.
In addition, Quang Nam province announced the retirement decisions of 6 Department Directors and many leaders of provincial departments and branches.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet - Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee said that up to now, the whole province has 379 provincial and district government officials and 79 Party officials registered or submitted applications for early retirement.
“On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, I commend the Provincial People's Council, Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, localities, specialized agencies, public service units, and advisory agencies for their activeness, efforts, and determination in implementing Resolution 18 to achieve quite positive results in implementing the Central's policy,” said Mr. Triet.
