Through the work of grasping the local situation, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - Hanoi City Police discovered a group of subjects illegally trading in drugs in Hung Yen province and neighboring localities, including Hanoi, led by Hoang Tien Dung with sophisticated tricks.

Specifically, Dung opened a pure water supply agency in Thung Linh village (Yen Hoa commune, Yen My district) and received delivery orders to various places to conceal the illegal buying, selling and transporting of drugs.

In addition, Dung also opened a night restaurant for his wife, Le Thi Huyen (born 1998, Yen Hoa, Yen My) named "Dung Huyen" in Hoang Trach village, Me So commune (Van Giang, Hung Yen ). This restaurant sells noodles, vermicelli, porridge... but is actually disguised as a drug trading point for Dung and his accomplices.

Dung's drug source was sent from Europe to Vietnam via international postal service. When sent back, the drugs would be disguised and hidden in food and household items.

Directly involved in helping Dung illegally buy and sell drugs was Tran Van Tuan (born in 2004, Yen Hoa commune, Yen My district). Tuan was assigned to contact the delivery company to receive goods and look after the warehouse, packing drugs to deliver to customers in the provinces. In addition, Tuan also acted as the contact point connecting Hoang Tien Dung with Dao Ngoc Long (born in 1988, Yen Hoa commune, Yen My district, residing in Ho Chi Minh City) abroad to order drugs to be shipped to Vietnam.

Based on the collected documents, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - Hanoi City Police established a special project to mobilize forces from Hanoi City Police, City Customs Department and Hung Yen Provincial Police to synchronously apply professional measures to fight and arrest.

On March 23, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department - Hanoi City Police in coordination with the City Customs Department discovered a suspicious package containing about 40kg of drugs sent from the Netherlands to Vietnam through Noi Bai International Airport. The recipient in Hanoi is Hoang Tien Phat (lane 81, Nguyen Quy Tri street, Kieu Ky commune, Gia Lam district).

The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department determined that the information on the package was fake, and the actual recipient of the drugs was Hoang Tien Dung. At the same time, the investigation determined that in addition to the above package, Hoang Tien Dung was about to receive another package (drugs hidden in 10 beer crates) sent from abroad to Vietnam.
