In recent years, the economic structure of Pac Nga commune has shifted positively; national target programs, new rural construction and sustainable poverty reduction have been implemented synchronously and effectively. Infrastructure has been strongly invested, up to now, 14/16 villages have hardened roads, 100% of villages have grid electricity and broadband internet. The system of schools, medical stations, central markets and tourism infrastructure have been gradually completed.
From 2020 to present, Pac Nga commune has achieved many outstanding results in agriculture, forestry and fishery. The cultivated area is 3,078 hectares, the food output is more than 27,350 tons, and vegetables are over 430 tons. Many corn and upland rice areas have been converted to grow fruit trees and high-value crops. The total livestock herd is 16,322, the meat output is more than 313 tons; quarantine work, guidance on raising and planting grass are focused.
Taking advantage of 15.5 hectares of water surface, the commune also develops aquaculture, with an output of 43.4 tons. The area of protected and regenerated forests is more than 5,435 hectares, with nearly 539 hectares of newly planted forests in the past 5 years, with a coverage of 47.34%. Forest protection, fire prevention and violation handling have been effectively implemented.
Many households are striving to escape poverty, typically the family of Mr. Ha Van Chan, Ang village, in 2021, borrowed 50 million VND from the Social Policy Bank, invested in barns, bought native black pigs, and raised them in a semi-free range method. Currently, the family maintains a herd of 30-40 pigs, which have been sold twice a year at a price of 130,000-150,000 VND/kg. In addition, he also raises nearly 2,000 commercial frogs. Thanks to that, the family's economy is stable, life is improved, and children have better education conditions.
Not only relying on agriculture , Pac Nga is gradually developing tourism, developing community tourism products, associated with the traditional cultural values of the Thai, Muong, Mong people. Villages, festivals, cuisine, ethnic musical instruments and traditional crafts are restored and promoted to tourists. In addition, Pac Nga also possesses rich natural landscapes, with rice fields in Buoc village, Lum Thuong village, provincial road 111 along the Da river through the majestic Pusanluong and Puđanhao ranges... With these potentials, Pac Nga aims to welcome about 2,500 visitors/year by 2030, with revenue of 1.25 billion VND.
Ms. Dinh Thi Kim Tuyen, Secretary of the Commune Party Committee, said: Currently, the poverty rate of the commune has decreased by more than 4% per year, social security is guaranteed, people's lives are increasingly improved; the work of eliminating temporary houses for 115 poor households has been well implemented.
Pac Nga commune is also focusing on administrative reform, building digital government and digital society as a breakthrough to improve the efficiency of the state apparatus, shorten the time to process procedures, and create favorable conditions for people and businesses. Promote the application of information technology, comprehensive digital transformation in management and public services, towards a modern, transparent, professional and serving administration. At the same time, promote the development of digital society, expand access to technology and improve digital skills for the people. By 2030, Pac Nga strives for the rate of trained workers to be over 50%, with no more poor households according to multidimensional standards. Tourism becomes one of the important economic sectors.
The Party Committee, government and people of Pac Nga are focusing on exploiting potential, mobilizing all resources, determined to develop the commune into a "green economic land", building a more and more prosperous life for the people.
