The trip comes as Pyongyang appears to be expanding diplomatic ties after tightly closing its borders during the COVID pandemic.
Khurelsukh and Pak discussed developing the friendly relations established by the previous leaders of the two countries as well as enhancing bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
KCNA added that Mr Pak also met his Mongolian counterpart on Monday.
In a separate development, Russia's deputy culture minister is expected to visit North Korea to mark the anniversary of a bilateral agreement between the two countries, KCNA said on Tuesday.
