Phan Dang Hoang 'brings' Nguyen Phan Chanh's silk paintings to Milan

Phan Dang Hoang's Ceramics collection was inspired by the silk paintings of famous painter Nguyen Phan Chanh and the art of ceramic shaping.

The designs depict the gentle yet strong and individual features of Vietnamese women 100 years ago.

In each design, viewers can feel the breath of life of each period of fashion history, the thread connecting art, fashion and life. Phan Dang Hoang said that through this collection, he wants to recreate a new look of fashion for Vietnamese women in the present and the future.

In addition to the consistent shape and structure throughout the collection, Phan Dang Hoang also follows the spirit of the works of famous painter Nguyen Phan Chanh, both classic and innovative, modern expressed through scarf knotting and modern cut-outs on traditional silk material.

In addition, Phan Dang Hoang and his team also apply techniques such as: embellishment, knitting, fabric dyeing, embroidery, pleating, draping... to create highlights for the design.

From the simple, rustic color palette in the paintings of famous painter Nguyen Phan Chanh such as brown, black, eggshell white, orange, betel nut red..., Phan Dang Hoang created a collection of simple colors.

Designer Phan Dang Hoang was born in 2000. He received a talent scholarship majoring in fashion design at Nuova Accademia Di Belle Arti University in Italy in 2018, graduated with honors, and participated in international fashion weeks while still a student.

Recently, Phan Dang Hoang was honored by Forbes as an influential artist under 30 years old in Asia.
