On July 4, the Hanoi Department of Construction began implementing a plan to adjust traffic organization and lane division for vehicles on Pham Van Dong Street with a length of about 4km from the intersection with Hoang Quoc Viet Street to the roundabout into Ciputra urban area.

The option of a hard-barrier lane with two lanes next to the median strip in each direction of the road will be for cars. The remaining lanes next to the sidewalk will be for mixed vehicles. These two groups of lanes will be separated by a hard-barrier strip, vehicles will only be allowed to change lanes at intersections and U-turn points.
