Southeast Asian fans react when Indonesia lost to Japan 0-6

(Dan Tri) - Many Southeast Asian fans believe that the Japanese team is of a level far superior to Indonesia's when they won 6-0 despite only using the B team.

The third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia ended on the evening of June 10. The six teams that won tickets to the 2026 World Cup are Iran, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Japan, and Australia.

The 6 teams that qualified for the 4th qualifying round were UAE, Qatar, Iraq, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, while the 6 teams that were eliminated were Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, Palestine, Kuwait, China, and Bahrain.

"Japan is too strong even though they only use the B team at this level. They are on a different level even though the Indonesian team has many naturalized players from Europe.

After 10 matches, the Japanese team finished at the top of the table with 23 points, while Indonesia, despite losing the match, achieved its goal of qualifying for the 4th round of the 2026 World Cup by finishing in 4th place with 12 points.

"Japan has proven its class by regularly participating in the World Cup finals. Not only Indonesia, but even the Vietnamese and Thai teams have experienced this when facing Japan. Indonesia should prepare well for the 4th qualifying round right now," commented Aarai from Malaysia after the loss of the archipelago team.

"Japan are on another level and they are too strong.
