Two brothers fined 19 million VND for domestic violence

On July 4, information from the office of the Gia Loc District People's Committee ( Hai Duong ) said that the chairman of the district People's Committee had just signed a decision to administratively sanction two biological brothers, Mr. VTM (60 years old) and Mr. VVM (68 years old, both residing in Trinh Thanh Van village, Yet Kieu commune, Gia Loc district) for domestic violence.

According to the decision, Mr. VTM was fined 11.5 million VND, Mr. VVM was fined 7.5 million VND.

Previously, on March 19, Mr. VTM intentionally damaged property worth 440,000 VND of Mr. VVM's family, punched Mr. VVL (41 years old), Mr. VTM's nephew, in the face. Then, Mr. VVM punched Mr. VTM repeatedly in the face.

These acts and the penalties are prescribed in Decree 144/2021/ND-CP dated December 31, 2021 of the Government on administrative sanctions for violations in the fields of security, order, social safety; prevention of social evils; fire prevention and fighting; rescue; prevention of domestic violence.
