Launching Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2025

On the afternoon of April 19, the Provincial Federation of Labor (FFL) held a ceremony to launch Workers' Month and respond to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2025.

Attending the event were: Phung Thi Kim Nga, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Xuan Hung, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Bui Thi Thu Hang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Trinh Thi Thoa, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; representatives of some departments and branches of the province.

Workers' Month 2025 with the theme "Vietnamese workers pioneering into a new era" and Occupational Safety and Health Action Month 2025 with the theme "Strengthening assessment, identifying hazards and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace".

In line with the theme, the Provincial Federation of Labor has unanimously selected and focused on organizing and implementing many activities to care for and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers. In particular, the Unions at all levels focus on disseminating the Party's new policies and resolutions, especially the policy on streamlining the State apparatus to be efficient, effective and effective; and disseminating about the Party Congresses at all levels.

Organize a peak month for union member development, establish grassroots unions and activities to show gratitude and thanks to workers; promote programs to assess and identify risks and proactively implement measures to ensure occupational safety and health, raise awareness and perception of employers, workers and all levels and sectors on occupational safety and health; launch emulation movements, promote mass movements to do occupational safety and health work, contributing to building a safety culture at the workplace.

Recognizing the innovation, creativity, positivity and efficiency in the activities of the Trade Unions at all levels, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Xuan Hung requested that in the coming time, the Provincial Labor Federation needs to research and effectively implement activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers; recognize, commend and honor exemplary workers.

Focus on developing union members, establishing grassroots unions; promoting emulation movements in all fields, suitable for each region and target group, associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle; actively implementing propaganda activities, disseminating legal education, improving awareness and professional skills for workers.

Trade Union officials continue to promote their pioneering, exemplary, and leading role in implementing Resolution No. 18 of the 12th Party Central Committee, contributing to the successful implementation of the policy of innovation and streamlining the political system's apparatus to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.

At the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and in response to the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a series of meaningful activities to care for nearly 5,000 union members and workers, such as giving gifts to more than 300 workers and laborers in especially difficult circumstances and those who had work-related accidents; free health check-ups and cancer screening for more than 1,500 union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers; organizing union member welfare booths, giving 3,000 shopping vouchers to workers with a total value of more than 2 billion VND.
